Back-to-school 2025: after conquering middle schools and high schools, EcoleDirecte finally targets the primary grades with a version specially designed for elementary schools. And spoiler alert: it looks pretty well put together!
EcoleDirecte makes its primary revolution
No more the days when primary teachers had to juggle between 15 different notebooks and words in the liaison notebooks! Aplim has just announced the launch of MonPremierEcoleDirecte, a completely redesigned version of their flagship platform to fit the specifics of the first degree.
And when we say “redesigned”, we’re not just talking about a simple reskin with brighter colors (though that’s probably the case as well). This new edition incorporates unprecedented features that should make teachers happy:
The innovations that change everything
- Enriched lesson diary and class journal: So that Ms. Dupont can finally organize her lessons without wasting 2 hours every evening
- Digital liaison notebook: No more paper notes that mysteriously disappear in backpacks
- Behaviour tracking: Because yes, you do need to track who pulled Marie’s braids during recess
- Autonomous management of class lists: Teachers will finally be able to tailor their tools without waiting for IT support

As highlighted by Reynald Marien, president of Aplim: “This enriched version of MonPremierEcoleDirecte offers features designed especially for the primary level and many more features to ease teachers’ work and communication with families, increasingly coming from the digital generation. It is intended for private and public primary schools.”
Mes FondamentApps: the mini-games that make the difference
But the real stroke of genius is the bouquet of applications “Mes FondamentApps”. Four apps scientifically validated (they stress that a lot) to accompany learning from Grande Section through CM2:

FLUIDILI – The 2.0 Reading Coach Improves reading fluency with a synchronized highlighting system. The student reads with an “expert reader” – we imagine a well-crafted TTS system guiding the learning. Available from CE1.

EVASION – Brain training version for primary Strengthens visual attention through progressive mini-games. The student identifies letters and numbers – it resembles Lumosity but adapted for kids at the end of GS / beginning of CP.

FIREFLY – Agent 007 version English The pupil becomes a secret agent and completes missions in English. Not a bad gamified approach to learning Shakespeare as early as CP! Immersion through play, it still works.

ECRIMO – Interactive spelling Works on encoding and spelling: the student listens to a word and reconstructs it. Primarily intended for CP, where decoding at the phonetic level is crucial.
Aplim, the French behemoth of EdTech
Quick reminder for those new to the topic: Aplim already serves 5,500 establishments and 5.5 million daily users anyone uses on a daily basis. With their 145 employees spread across 12 sites in France, they have the capacity to provide support.
The company bets big on the “Made in France” approach with their Qualiopi certification and Service France Garanti certification. In a context where digital sovereignty has become a political issue, it’s a strong argument against the American giants.
MonPremierEcoleDirecte arrives at the right moment. With post-COVID accelerated digitization, primary schools were behind their secondary-school counterparts. The platform seems well thought-out, but the real test will be in teachers’ hands starting September 2025.
